

About Our Gluten Free Cooking School!
The cooking classes are held in a working bakery attached to my home, which provides many loaves of bread and sweet baked goods to whole food stores and cafes on a weekly basis.
In my business, Godiva’s Naked Fare, I have created gluten free products that rival regular wheat products in taste and texture. I have also created products new to the marketplace for people with intolerances to grains.
The perception is that gluten free products taste dry or are too heavy and are vastly different to what you have been eating. My customers often say they can’t believe they are eating gluten free.
My commitment to this industry and its customers prompted me to start this school. As a private baker I have found more and more of my customers asking to be taught to bake for themselves because attempts that they have made have not met their expectations. I too have had many failures so I know what it feels like to spend money on ingredients, time in the preparation and baking process, and then be let down with the result.
The recipes that I have planned for the classes are very simple and more importantly, adaptable. Unlike other cooking classes, these classes are entirely hands on. You will have your own recipe to follow and the tools and ingredients for each recipe for that day. I will be on hand to personally assist you and help you if you get stuck. As the classes are small you will get one on one instruction.
At the end of the class you will take home the products that you have baked to share with your family, as well as the recipes themselves to make again and again. Also available to purchase are the flour mixes that are used in the recipes. The mixes are my own blends and are free of all preservatives.
It is my intention to teach you how to bake. Along the way you will gain confidence in the experience and a life long skill. Are you ready for the challenge?
